About

NEXT ENSEMBLE MISSION

We bring people together, celebrating music that reflects, cultivates and feeds the artistic soul of our vibrant and unique community.

Our Core Values

  • Musical Activism

We present music in a meaningful way that initiates important conversations about topical and current issues affecting the world around us.

  • Music is for All

We believe music is for everyone. We curate concerts to meet our audiences where they are no matter the age, education, social status, orientation, race, or religion.

  • Love of Learning

We believe that experiencing music encourages curiosity, self discovery, and discussion about our past, present, and future.

History

NEXT Ensemble was founded in 2014 by Gabe Gordon. Gabe had the mission to transform the classical music experience, bringing it into unique spaces and to unique audiences that had historically felt ostracized by the classical music industry. He began producing pop-up concerts with educational elements that not only met audiences where they were, but also made the music digestible to every community member regardless of their previous exposure to classical music. Music is for everyone after all, not just the elite. Shortly after, NEXT Ensemble received its non-profit status and has since been programming inclusive, meaningful, and quality concerts for the Ogden Community.

Education & Outreach

NEXT Ensemble believes that music has the power to transform lives and strengthen communities. Through our dynamic outreach programs, we bring world-class classical music directly to those who need it most. Our dedicated musicians share their passion and expertise through educational concerts that inspire the next generation of music lovers, intimate master classes that nurture emerging talent, and free concerts that make exceptional musical experiences accessible to underserved communities throughout the year.

Beyond the concert hall, we're committed to breaking down barriers to classical music by meeting people where they are. Our programming creates meaningful connections between artists and audiences, ensuring that the transformative power of live music reaches every corner of our community, regardless of economic circumstances or prior musical experience.
